Design Engineer - Level 2

The role is for a Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin, focusing on engineering design support for the Integrated Fighter Group. The position involves checking and verifying engineering drawings and ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

• Evaluate and investigate design factors on F-16 retrofit and production engineering designs.
• Identify design compatibility errors and verify completeness of features.
• Ensure engineering designs meet all contractual and program requirements.
• Utilize knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) based on ASME standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Structures, Systems, and Electrical.
• Work in a model-centric environment and maintain quality results under tight schedules.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
• Knowledge of Catia or 3D modeling systems.
• Familiarity with ASME drawings.
• US Citizenship required for security clearance.
• Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
