Responsibilities
- Understand printing system capabilities and collaborate with internal engineering teams to automate the printing process.
- Drive all stages of print production development including DFAM feedback, file preparation, and quality control.
- Analyze data and part quality for continuous improvement.
- Utilize first-principles thinking to solve problems and provide technical recommendations.
- Document application requirements and align team objectives.
- Communicate Freeform's technical capabilities to external customers and improve DFAM.
- Contribute to internal technology development based on stakeholder feedback.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Hands-on design experience from internships or engineering clubs.
- Full life-cycle hardware design experience from calculations to CAD and testing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with metal 3D printing is a plus.
- Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with DMLS or LPBF processes is beneficial.
