Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts and design teams to ensure design and manufacturing requirements are met.
- Develop production procedures and manage the transition from development to production.
- Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling.
- Implement design for manufacturability changes to improve production efficiency.
- Create original CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Act as the design engineering contact for efficient part and assembly builds.
- Maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in design, build, or manufacturing of mechanical systems.
- Preferred 7+ years of manufacturing design experience and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience with fluid dynamics, finite element modeling, and large steel structure construction.
- Knowledge of pressurized systems and experience with finite element analysis software.
- Proficiency in CAD and PLM systems, particularly Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter.
- Ability to work in tight spaces and at elevated heights, with physical dexterity required.
