Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts and design teams to ensure design and manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Develop production procedures and manage the transition from development to production.
  • Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling.
  • Implement design for manufacturability changes to improve production efficiency.
  • Create original CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
  • Act as the design engineering contact for efficient part and assembly builds.
  • Maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in design, build, or manufacturing of mechanical systems.
  • Preferred 7+ years of manufacturing design experience and GD&T knowledge.
  • Experience with fluid dynamics, finite element modeling, and large steel structure construction.
  • Knowledge of pressurized systems and experience with finite element analysis software.
  • Proficiency in CAD and PLM systems, particularly Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and at elevated heights, with physical dexterity required.
