Responsibilities
- Specifying power requirements for gaming system components, balancing power draw, cost, and thermal constraints.
- Developing and implementing power management techniques to maximize performance and achieve high power savings.
- Creating a holistic thermal and power management system-level solution for integrated entertainment devices.
- Collaborating with mechanical engineers to develop thermal subsystem requirements.
- Evaluating design targets and solution options for power management requirements.
- Designing and verifying electrical subsystems on the motherboard.
- Utilizing simulation tools for data gathering, analysis, and visualization.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of technical engineering experience or relevant degrees with lesser experience.
- Knowledge of core engineering principles, particularly circuit design and analysis.
- Experience with power management techniques in consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with PC and embedded system architectures.
- Understanding of control loops and PID fan control algorithms.
- Experience in high-volume consumer electronics design and manufacturing.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and thermal chambers.
