Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supplier Development Engineers to drive SMT process requirements.
- Advocate for consolidation of SMT assembly requirements across products.
- Review PCBs prior to release to address manufacturing issues.
- Identify trends for optimizing product output and quality enhancements.
- Develop test vehicles to validate new processes for designs and silicon.
- Implement corrective actions in designs based on manufacturing defects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or other STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in SMT processing and/or microelectronics packaging.
- Experience with reliability modeling of solder joints.
- Familiarity with automated PCB review software and Xpedition Design Software.
- Scripting and data analysis skills using Python, Excel, or Matlab.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Master’s degree in Material Science preferred.
