Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for suppliers, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews and manage outsourced parts throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with procurement to strategically source parts and assess supplier manufacturing processes.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives at suppliers.
- Validate supplier corrective actions to ensure robustness and sustainability.
- Coordinate containment activities with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in the supply base through collaboration and project leadership.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or quality.
- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP).
- Knowledge of quality processes and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 45% of the work week.
