Mechanical Engineer, HVAC (Starship Infrastructure)

The role of Mechanical Engineer, HVAC at SpaceX involves working within the Starship Launch Engineering team to design and activate infrastructure for orbital launch capabilities. The position is based at Cape Canaveral, FL.

• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for mechanical & HVAC engineering projects.
• Perform calculations for HVAC & piping design.
• Manage mechanical aspects of construction projects, including quality control and conflict resolution.
• Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors.
• Interact with stakeholders to develop project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Own budget and schedule for a scope of work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical, HVAC, or facility infrastructure design/build.
• Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles.
• Experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Understanding of permitting processes and relevant codes.
• Strong communication skills and project management experience.
