Electrical Engineering Intern - Summer 2025

The role is for an Electrical Engineering Intern at Lam Research, focusing on developing electrical systems in the semiconductor industry. The intern will work within the Customer Support Business Group, contributing to performance and quality improvements for customers' equipment.

• Develop moderately complex electrical systems and sub-systems.
• Apply mathematical/engineering methods to electrical system designs.
• Contribute to research efforts of data.
• Demonstrate good judgment in developing functional specifications for electrical/electro-mechanical systems.
• Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
• Work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team to design and modify custom and OEM system components.

• Junior or Senior Undergraduate Student (BSEE) or Postgraduate Student (MSME) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Very good oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
• Solid understanding of AC/DC power distribution systems.
• Understanding of signals and controls theory.
• System-level understanding of electrical architecture and design.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical-related standards like UL, CE, IEC, SEMI.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for circuit design & simulation.
