Mechanical Engineering Specialist

The role is for a Specialist, Mechanical Engineer in San Leandro, CA, focusing on process design, development, and testing of complex mechanical hardware.

• Work independently on high-consequence program activities
• Present to internal and external stakeholders
• Generate technical data package components
• Prototype, integrate, and test component parts and assemblies
• Develop test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems
• Participate in design reviews and product change discussions
• Support field testing/demonstration efforts

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance
• Proficiency in complex mechanical hardware development
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standards and design tools like ProEngineer, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
• Experience with FEA tools like Ansys & NATRAN
• Proficient in using MS Office products and PLM software
