Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters for harsh space environments.
- Develop and optimize designs for power conversion systems, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Lead schematic capture and PCB layout design, overseeing board bring-up and test campaigns.
- Develop efficiency, mass, and cost models for power electronics designs.
- Address EMI/EMC challenges in power adaptors and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create groundbreaking power electronics hardware.
- Perform modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics to refine designs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in power converter development.
- Strong expertise in analog control, discrete logic design, and power electronics modeling.
- Proficiency in voltage and current mode control, DC-DC topologies, and power supply testing.
- Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout design, and board bring-up.
- Familiarity with spacecraft electrical power systems, radiation effects, and lithium-ion batteries.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary and be a U.S. citizen or eligible for authorization under U.S. export regulations.
