Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, modify, and maintain the Weapons Systems Mechanical Architecture.
  • Support design, development, analysis, and integration of weapons onto military aircraft.
  • Develop weapon/S&RE layout configurations and Interface Control Drawings (ICDs).
  • Prepare and oversee qualification plans and tests, including supplier management.
  • Lead Stress and/or Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analyses related to weapons carriage hardware.
  • Attend technical exchange meetings and program milestone reviews.
  • Assist in managing team cost and schedule and mentor junior engineers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, or a Master's with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1760, UAI, CFW, and MIL-STD-1553.
  • Experience with NX CAD software and Teamcenter PLM.
  • Experience with stress analysis software such as Patran/Nastran and Femap.
  • Managerial or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
