Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, modify, and maintain the Weapons Systems Mechanical Architecture.
- Support design, development, analysis, and integration of weapons onto military aircraft.
- Develop weapon/S&RE layout configurations and Interface Control Drawings (ICDs).
- Prepare and oversee qualification plans and tests, including supplier management.
- Lead Stress and/or Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analyses related to weapons carriage hardware.
- Attend technical exchange meetings and program milestone reviews.
- Assist in managing team cost and schedule and mentor junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, or a Master's with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1760, UAI, CFW, and MIL-STD-1553.
- Experience with NX CAD software and Teamcenter PLM.
- Experience with stress analysis software such as Patran/Nastran and Femap.
- Managerial or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
