DCI is offering a full-time Summer 2024 Internship opportunity on the Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team at their headquarters in Kent, WA, focusing on underground locating and steering products for the HDD industry.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional teams to investigate and improve manufacturing processes, custom tooling, and designs
- Develop technical designs and solutions with engineers from multiple disciplines
- Provide support to manufacturing engineering, automation, quality, and production projects
- Assist in equipment maintenance program activities
- Present project results and recommendations to management
Job Requirements
- Junior or Senior year undergrad student pursuing an engineering degree
- Industrial, mechanical, and electrical engineering knowledge with hands-on aptitude
- Passion for lean/process improvement and practical experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various manufacturing and engineering groups
- Critical thinker, attention to detail, problem solver, and communicator
- Technical writing and presentation experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with SolidWorks and Visio
