Thea Energy is offering an internship program for technical interns to join their team in the field of fusion energy engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and exercise design, analysis, and hands-on skills to support prototyping and stellarator design activities
  • Support process development, fabrication, assembly, equipment design, and testing for HTS magnet prototyping programs
  • Assist in the design, build, testing, and performance analysis of custom HTS magnets
  • Support the development and execution of test equipment, facilities, and operations associated with custom HTS magnets and magnet-related hardware
  • Assist in designing and developing various subsystems for stellarator fusion devices
  • Model magnetically confined high-temperature fusion plasmas using computational tools
  • Support computational physicists and plasma physicists in optimizing stellarator magnetic geometry for next-generation fusion devices

Job Requirements

  • Enrolled in a STEM undergraduate or graduate program
  • Interest in clean and sustainable energy
  • Hands-on or computational experience in relevant fields
  • Highly self-motivated and driven to solve problems
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Willingness to learn new things
