The role is a Systems Engineering Intern position within Kilby Labs, the central R&D organization of Texas Instruments, focusing on developing novel technologies for new business opportunities and existing businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply system expertise in a given application area using existing TI silicon devices
  • Develop algorithms for sensor data analysis and provide excitation signals
  • Define hardware requirements for sensor interfaces and work on prototype systems
  • Conduct system simulations and tradeoff analysis
  • Develop working prototypes using TI product portfolio
  • Generate patents to protect TI's position in the application space
  • Monitor competitive landscape and identify new opportunities using TI products

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
  • Experience in signal processing design and mixed-signal hardware
  • Proficiency in simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink/Python
  • Ability to debug HW/SW and deliver prototypes meeting requirements
  • Experience with current sensing using magnetic sensors
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
