Responsibilities
- Address critical mechanical field failures for the Linear Generator by determining root causes and designing solutions.
- Interface with manufacturing and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.
- Create and manage internal improvement systems to reduce future field or production failures.
- Collaborate with reliability and test teams to validate systems and components.
- Work cross-functionally with manufacturing engineering and external suppliers for rapid deployment of designs.
- Conduct extensive root cause analysis to solve complex problems.
- Lead small teams of engineers on multiple competing projects.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering roles.
- Extensive experience with root cause analysis and solving system-level design failures.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including metal castings, welding, and machining.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
- Experience managing small teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturability issues.
