Senior Mechanical Engineer

The position is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Strategic Robotics R&D Team at Johnson & Johnson, located in Santa Clara, CA.

• Design and develop robotic capital hardware for surgical room environments.
• Iterate on proof-of-concept prototypes and implement commercial design solutions.
• Provide design recommendations and collaborate with various engineering teams.
• Develop technologies for human-robot interaction and participate in design reviews.
• Engage in clinical procedure labs and procedural development activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience in designing robotic hardware.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
• Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.
