Responsibilities
- Design and analyze steel weldments for testing hardware.
- Create drawings and work instructions for assembly of 3D printed parts into test stands.
- Write and execute test day procedures.
- Support design and data reviews of flight structures.
- Collaborate with Additive, Design, Test, and Loads & Dynamics teams.
- Document work and provide recommendations in technical discussions.
- Conduct operations in the test yard and brainstorm new methods for additive manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a full cycle design engineering role.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and testing methods.
- Understanding of structural strength, stability, and fatigue failure mechanisms.
- Familiarity with additive and traditional manufacturing processes.
- Experience with NX/TeamCenter, Nastran, and ANSYS is a plus.
- Ability to lead projects and thrive in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
