Responsibilities
- Address critical mechanical field failures for the Linear Generator using root cause analysis and design solutions.
- Interface with manufacturing and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.
- Create and manage internal improvement systems to enhance the design process.
- Work with reliability and test teams to validate systems and components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, NPI, and external suppliers for rapid production deployment.
- Validate solutions through an ECO process and shepherd them into production.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to track and prioritize issues over time.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Senior Level: BS + 6 years or MS + 5 years of experience.
- Extensive experience in data-driven root cause analysis for complex problems.
- Demonstrable experience in solving system-level design failures.
- Expert knowledge of tolerance stack ups and various manufacturing methods.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
- Familiarity with PDM systems and structural FEA is a plus.
