Responsibilities
- Design and execute testing to evaluate piezoelectric pump performance.
- Develop protocols to characterize pump behavior under various conditions.
- Analyze lifecycle data to identify failure modes.
- Build and maintain test benches with sensors and data acquisition systems.
- Collaborate with software and mechanical teams for component integration.
- Author a technical whitepaper and present findings to leadership.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program in a relevant engineering or physics field.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics; microfluidics experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation and DAQ hardware.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly in reports.
- Previous internship or research experience in hardware validation or medical devices preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing test fixtures.
